Darrell was born and raised in Mississippi and is a true Mississippi boy through and through. He has a genuine love of Mississippi land. He is currently a real estate appraiser with licenses in Mississippi and Arkansas and over 20 years of extensive experience in the appraisal field. He is a member of the Appraisal Institute and has their MAI and SRA designations. He is a certified AI instructor and has taught several of their real estate courses. He was a contributor and reviewer for the first textbook AI has written in 16 years, that is completely devoted to the topic of rural property appraisals. Nationally, he has served on AI’s Leadership Advisory Council, been an Educational Trust Appointed Trustee, as well as serving on the national nominating committee. He also has the ARA, Accredited Rural Appraiser, designation from the ASFMRA, American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers. He is one of a few appraisal professionals that hold this designation in Mississippi. Darrell has served the Mississippi chapter of the Appraisal Institute in several key positions. He has been chapter president, vice-president, education chairman, candidate guidance committee chair, and served on the finance committee.
