Cameron Isbell : Mossy Oak Properties Southeast Land & Wildlife
Growing up on the red land soils and cotton fields of northwest Alabama, I never knew how richly blessed we were with such high producing cropland. It always amazes me to visit other parts of the country, only to return home to one of the most diverse areas of the Southeast. My love for farming started at an early age while watching my dad and his family produce and harvest crops. In the mid 1980's, my family ceased farming therefore leaving an uncertainty for being able to work in the outdoors. My desire to work outdoors led me to pursue a Forestry degree from Auburn University in 2000. After working in corporate and private industry for 3 years, I decided to start my own business at the beginning of 2004. As an Alabama Registered Forester for the last 14 years, I have been able to work all over North Alabama, Southern Middle Tennessee, and Northeast Mississippi buying land and timber and working with private landowners. Over the years, I have developed a passion for preserving hardwood timber for our future generations. It has been a goal of mine to help assist landowners in selectively harvesting hardwood timber and helping to preserve it's natural state. I currently serve as an acting member for ALFA and the Soil and Water Conservation Board of Colbert County. Our farm raises registered black Simmental cattle while row crop farming 600 acres. My knowledge of land, timber, cattle and row crops is essential to helping assist in selling or buying property.
