Ranch Description

Browns Park is an area rich with history from the ancient Indians to the famous outlaws of the late 1800'S to the early 1900'S. The area gave refuge to famous outlaws such as the Wild Bunch, Butch Cassidy, Ann and Josie Bassett, Sun dance Kid, Tom Horn and many others once called this remote valley home at one time or another. Many other historical sites remain such as the Ladore Hall, John Jarvie Ranch along with the well known Gates of Ladore, Swinging Bridge and Irish Canyon. Improvements The 2400 sq. ft custom home built in 1994 consist of 3 bedrooms, 3 bath, office, kitchen, dining room, mudroom/laundry room with a large deck over looking the pond and hay fields. There are 2 very nice cabins for guest or possible rentals which come fully furnished. The cabins both have kitchens and bathrooms and each can sleep 6 plus people. There is a 1600 sq. ft shop with concrete floor and power for equipment and toys. There is also an additional Quonset shop that is very large and could fit just about anything. Just outside the home is a covered carport with walk in storage. The cellar is just outside the mudroom of the home. Just behind the home one can enjoy cool evenings while they sit and enjoy a fire in the custom fire pit. Water This property has an amazing 9 adjudicated springs feeding the home, shop, cabins and the outside faucets. The large pond is also fed by the springs and there is a large amount of water exiting the pond into the fields that are hayed. The owners have installed several outside faucets for the large garden area. Location The property is located 1.5 hours west of Craig, Colorado just off of Highway 318. Rock Springs, Wyoming is located 1.5 hours to the north and Vernal, Utah is located 1.5 hours to the southwest. The Green River is within 1/2 mile of the property with great access to the river within a few miles for rafting and fishing. Flaming Gorge Reservoir is located approximately 1 hour to the west. The property also borders thousands of acres of public BLM lands where one can hike and discover.
