Located 7 miles from Lake Marion in the rural area of Clarendon County, the Henry Road Tract offers a turnkey hunting experience. The property boasts a 90-acre floodable duck pond. Approximately 40 acres of the pond can be and is currently planted for waterfowl. The pond is flooded by two 6-inch wells and can be supplemented by diverting run-off from adjoining ditches. The 2023-24 duck harvest has been excellent with a mixed bag of birds with wood ducks being the most prominent. Deer hunting is excellent, and there are three enclosed deer stands overlooking food plots or shooting lanes and two wildlife feeders that will stay with the property. Turkeys are abundant in the area, and each year several Toms are taken from the property. The tract has an excellent road system and is fenced along the entire boundary. The eastern boundary is an improved county dirt road, and electricity is on site.
The property makes an excellent hunting retreat for the weekend getaway, and Lake Marion and the Santee River are only minutes away for excellent water sports and fishing. The property is approximately one hour from the Charleston/Mt. Pleasant area.
