Ranch Description
The beautiful Grote Ranch is located on the Garden and Keith county line, approximately 9 miles northeast of Lewellen, Nebraska. This 1,427.78 acre +/- working ranch has 260 acres +/- under two pivots with the balance being pasture. Tucked behind a large wind break sits a nice set of well kept improvements, including an older three bedroom, one bathroom farm house, a barn, a 70’ by 40’ steel quonset with a full cement floor and an impressive steel pipe arena and corrals.
The irrigated ground under the two pivots is comprised of 132 acres +/- and 128 acres +/- circles. Both circles are serviced by ten tower Zimmatic pivots (1979 and 1989) with low pressure drops and electric motors. Each pivot has its own well with electric pumps and flow meters. The northwest circle is currently planted in wheat but has been planted with corn in previous years. The southeast circle is irrigated grass.
The pasture area is cross-fenced into three pastures. It is well watered via three windmills and 10 tire water tanks on a pipeline. Six of the tanks on the pipeline service the pipe corrals mentioned previously. The pipeline is fed by a well near the improvements. The fencing through out is in good condition.
The Grote Ranch is an excellent working ranch that enjoys good hunting, county road access and above average working facilities.
