The Orange Oxbow Forest is in central Vermont in the Town of Orange, 18 miles west of Montpelier, the state capital. The property is ideally suited as a long-term timber land investment whose maple stands have been lightly managed since the early 1960S. The property's conservation easement creates an asking price well below the value of the standing timber. This land cannot be developed, and no camp can be built on it. Its timber can be managed and harvested.
The property has traditionally been accessed by agreement with the adjacent landowner via an established woods truck road that runs +/- 0.7 miles from the Warsley-Fish Pond Road Junction. This access road is blocked off with large boulders and thus not drivable at this time.
