Ranch Description

Located at the end of the road destination, the Bear Rock Ranch offers 180± deeded acres in the extremely scenic area of Green Mountain. Rich in outdoor recreation opportunities, the property is diverse with grasslands, meadows, draws, unique rock formations and nicely timbered mountains, including ponderosa pine, aspen, cottonwoods and willow trees. The 180± deeded acres are all within the Medicine Bow National Forest and on the south boundary of the property is an additional 160± State of Wyoming acres. The Bear Rock Ranch attracts upland game birds, turkey, sage grouse and Hungarian partridges. Black bear, coyotes, bobcats and mountain lion also make their home in the Medicine Bow National Forest. The ranch qualifies for landowner tags for Area 7 elk; mule deer and antelope hunting are also good. The ranch is owner-rated at 20 pairs for six months. The owner has traditionally used the ranch as a cow/calf and yearling grazing operation plus guided hunting. The cedar-sided, ranch-style home is 4,375 sq. ft. with six bedrooms and three baths. The main level features maple cabinets in the kitchen with an island, eat-in dining, formal dining room, living room with a gas fireplace, wrap-around deck, four bedrooms, including a master suite with master bath, and an additional full bath. The walk-out basement was recently finished in 2020 and features a large family room with a wood-burning stove, two bedrooms, one large bath and lots of storage. This energy efficient home has its own 240-Volt “power plant” with self-sustaining solar panels and a new Kohler 14 stand-alone generator in the 60'x40' shop.
