Ranch Description

Massive high desert 33,000-Acre cattle and hunting ranch in the beautiful rugged landscape of Eastern Oregon. This is a rare opportunity to purchase this unspoiled legacy ranch which has been responsibly managed by the same family for almost a century.

Wildlife/Hunting The contiguous acreage spans over 51 square miles of natural habitat that attracts a variety of wildlife including elk, mule deer, antelope, bear, grouse, quail, and chukars. The ranch is a hunter's paradise with 350 class bulls, Boone and Crocket class mule deer and antelope, and other excellent quality animals. It includes 8 each landowner preference tags for elk and deer, along with unlimited archery tags for elk and deer.

Natural Water Features The waters of Blue Creek, Cow Creek, Rinehart Creek, and several smaller creek tributaries meander throughout the property. One will also find numerous spring-fed ponds and many natural springs on the land. Some of the springs have been developed already but there is potential for additional development that could enhance the sustainability and capacity for game and livestock.

Cattle The expansive pastureland is both fenced and cross-fenced. It could run 900 cow/calf pairs or 3,000 yearlings. However, other combinations of the two are possible depending on the management. The ranch also has 2 sets of corrals.

Residence & Outbuildings There is currently a 1,440 square foot mobile home on the property that would be suitable for temporary accommodations with a private septic system and individual well. However, the ranch has multiple sites that would be ideal for building a future dream home or hunting lodge. Existing outbuildings include a machine shed and a detached garage perfect for storing recreational vehicles or equipment.

Land & Location The ranch encompasses the North face of Juniper Mountain which is 6,500 ft in elevation. The upper elevations of the property are comprised of rugged terrain and rim rocks with a mix of aspen groves and juniper basins on the upper reaches of the mountain. The lower elevations of the ranch are a combination of level pasture land and rolling hills. It also has potential for a private airstrip and is situated along US Highway 26 in Malheur County midway between two small unincorporated communities. Just 5 miles west of the property lies Ironside, Oregon and 4.2 miles to the east is Brogan, Oregon. The region is known for its scenery, recreational opportunities, diverse agriculture, and quiet rural lifestyle. Within 2 hours of the ranch is the Boise metro area which offers major shopping, entertainment, and an airport that provides non-stop and connecting flight destinations throughout the US.
