Ranch Description

Recreational hunting ranch bordered by Payette National Forest on three sides. The acreage features a combination of beautiful meadows and timbered patches which attract area wildlife such as deer and elk. The ranch could be used as either a primary residence, a hunting retreat or a vacation home. It has easy year-round access from a county maintained road as well as good cut roads throughout the property. The waters of both the East Fork Weiser River and Stevens Creek run through the property. Other water features include a pond and a natural spring that supplies water to the property at 250 gal/min.The land is suitable for horses or livestock with its irrigated pasture, fully fenced perimeter, and its 1883 priority water rights. The 28 acres of water rights could be used for both stockwater and irrigation. The property is affectionately known as the Stage Coach Springs Ranch due to its historical roots. The picturesque 125+ acre mountain haven was once the sole stage coach stop between Council and New Meadows in the late 19th Century. The original homestead, Steven's Stage Coach Inn, has since been removed and served as a popular location for travelers, loggers, and railroad passengers to stay during their travels.Today there is a 2,280 sq ft modular home built in 2004 by Guerdon with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It was strategically placed so one can enjoy the amazing panoramic views. Near the home is a 50 ft x 80 ft shop with power and water. For additional accommodations, the shop also highlights a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom separate living quarters with 936 sq ft of living space.Features CreekIrrigationPondNatural SpringSeparate Living QuartersShop with Power & WaterTimberWater RightsYear-Round AccessStage Coach Springs Ranch is located approximately 10.1 miles North of the quaint town of Council, Idaho.
