Pickett has over 44,000 acres of public hunting land and several small lakes to fish. If you want a little bigger water visit Kerr Lake / Buggs Island. At its maximum capacity, Kerr Lake is one of the largest reservoirs in the Southeastern United States, covering approximately 50,000 acres and bordered by over 850 miles of shoreline. Enjoy many water sports and some of the best catfish and striper.
