This property was in the path of the spring 2017 Oklahoma wildfires, which cleared out a lot of the water thirsty red cedar trees and brush that had choked many of the canyons on this ranch. With increased sunshine and visibility, both the livestock carrying capacity of this land and hunting opportunities have been improved. The newer fences on the property were not damaged, while the older, damaged fences have been replaced.

There is a well, windmill and stock tank to provide water, as well as a pond to the east side of the property. The pond dam can be easily be repaired to greatly increase its holding capacity. An overflow tube has been moved to the property for use in the pond dam repair.
