A mile directly south is 622-Acre, 7-Foot Deep Vermilac Lake for some great fishing for planted Walleyes and naturally occurring Northern pike, Perch, Sunfish, and Crappies. The Baraga Plains Waterfowl Management Area, Big Lake Campground, and the Baraga Plains ATV Trail are also local area outdoor points of interest.
